I learned the hard way when I took it out for a Sunday project and it didn't fit my sockets. (It does come with a few socket and screw bits that fit the 1/4" bit). I will try to find at the hardware store a step-up converter but it should have come with one. The wrench has a 1/4" square bit head which only fits small sockets. It does not come with an adapter to step-up to the normal square bit heads for socket wrenches.
This product can only be used to spin loose fasteners and should not be expected to break a fasterner loose or tighten a fastener. It simply stalls when it needs to develop maximum torque. Skil 2372-01 7.2-Volt Li-Ion Power WrenchThis wrench was disappointing in the output torque cabability. It did not develop anywhere close the the specified torque.
A lot of people are going to miss this tool because they don't think they would use it enough to justify the purchase. If you need to drill a lot of right angle holes a more expensive angle drill is better, but for the occasional times you need an angle drill this tool will work. The lithium battery holds a charge for a very long time. I've used this tool quite a bit and only have recharged it a handful of times. This is one of those tools that you need to use it to appreciate how handy it is. This tool is a terrific addition to my tool collection. That's too bad because this is a great tool for the price. Attach a driver adapter and this tool becomes a power screw driver that is powerful and will fit into spaces a regular drill or power screw driver will not.I've also used the adapter to attach drill bits. Its primary use is to make removal and tightening of bolts faster, and it does that very well. But I use it for a lot more than nuts and bolts. This tool can then be used to drill holes in tight spaces.
In spite of limitations a pretty useful tool. I keep mine in the shade or air conditioning so I won't be disappointed when I go to use it. The circuit breaker is self resetting. Has great speed, quite a bit of torque. Maybe I will open it up and bypass the circuit breaker. If you lay it in the sun it will not work. There is a thermal circuit breaker in the tool that limits the motor's torque. The heat from the sun kicks the circuit breaker.
However I can only remember using it three times before it died. Charger light was solid green.
Nope, it just doesn't work. Took it apart (using battery removal instructions) thinking maybe something had come loose, a cold solder joint, whatever.
Bought this because it was cool and there have been a few times I've needed to ratchet without having the room to ratchet. It was dead.
I don't use it enough to buy another. Well, this fit the bill.
I used it one day, set it back in the charger, then next time I went to use it the trigger did nothing.
